I was browsing YouTube when I came across a interview clip of John Frusciante during his drug-ridden days in the mid 1990s. I have read horrible stuff that John was in such bad state that all his teeth were rotting and he nearly had his arms amputated due to improperly shooting heroin and cocaine, but I was totally unprepared to witness what I was about to see.
After watching this clip, I'm glad that he came outta of that path, avoiding the likes of Hendrix and Cobain. If he was dead back then I wouldn't have the chance to hear the melodic Scar Tissue which made me a die-hard Peppers fan and most importantly, compelled me to learn to play the guitar. It's a gift to the guitar world that he is alive, drug-free and so much healthier now.
This could be the perfect anti-drug use advertisement.
