After a taxing Sunday participating in the SMRT Challenge with Weijian and Wai Kit, the consolation prize that I received was a serious case of stomach flu which always made you grateful about being healthy in those sick times. And it was also glad to receive a long-awaited call to find out that people you care about is doing well.
Anyway here's a list of tips that I've compiled which I think would help those who are planning to take part in such simliar competitions in the future:
1. Footwear
Slippers and sandals are to be avoided. Running shoes are highly recommended to save those precious few seconds running between stations.
2. Wear light
Light comfortable clothing e.g. sportswear would be suitable when you would be spending the large extent of your competition pespiring.
3. Weigh light
Carry light and only bring them in a haversack (or have fun trying to run around in a slingbag.)
4. Accessorized
Towels, fans, watches (with a timer mode), basically the most necessary stuff to aid in your competition. But remember point 3.
5. Keeping Fit
Build up your fitness prior to the competition in preparation for all the running. But remember point 1.
Heh, bear all these in mind and maybe I'll see you in next year's challenge.
