With the closure of my university life, conversations between my peers in SMU usually revolves around whether have I found a job, or me listening to them on how excited they are leaving school. For the latter, being financially independent and having no more exams are the usual reasons for the joy.
Contrary to them, I'm not on the same plane of elation - in fact I'm feeling pretty apprehensive.
You know the times where you were thinking of picking up something new? Be it a new hobby or a sport, basically something that gets you outta your comfort zone? And most of the time you ended up not doing anything, using the busy life of a student as an excuse. It's a pretty good excuse though, because the primary reason of having a study life is for you to achieve your desired working career. Anything else is peripheral.
But once you reach the working stage, you are in the moment. That anything else becomes possible additional enrichments to your life. From now till the end of your life its either you make full use of your free time or you don't.
