in the deep

Me and the guys were at Georges chilling out and we were on the subject on the nature of human beings when one of them mentioned this Chinese phrase that "people are born good". I find it to be the contrary. We humans are flawed creatures - I'm sure we all have our own wicked thoughts running through our thoughts all the time, only kept in check by culture perceptions, laws and regulations. We are naturally selfish, placing judgements on people early without finding out more and end up hurting them in the process.

At times I feel I'm watching a huge sociological experiment right before my eyes - and I'm seeing many flaws manifesting in us. For every good deed there are a lot more evil ones going around today. It's kinda sad, and I'm disappointed in us human beings and further ashamed that I am a human being myself.

The only times where I am truly happy right now is to take strolls alone in the middle of the night listening to music and smoking - basically just enjoying the movements of the clouds and stars in the sky, away from all the hustle and bustle of any human interaction.
