Saturday was the first NDP rehearsal - my job was to go to Hougang Primary with a few others to assist the teachers in bringing the pupils into Pandang and after which we were to take anyone that wanted to pee to the toilets.
I realized we are playing a very minor part in the parade - the teachers don't even know where we are from, let alone what we are doing heh. And I thought we being from SMU are supposed to be different and vocal.
Anyway the parade was pretty good - I had never seen it as a spectator so I enjoyed it. Until I realized I'm gonna watch it for another 5 times. 10 hours every Saturday... maybe I signed up for the wrong community service.
Today
Met up with Weijian to have lunch and a chat at noon. Glad to see him coping well with his national service.
Met up with my orientation group leaders and mates at Suntec in the evening for dinner and some ice-breaking... you know that kinda boring stuff. The people in my group were pretty nice though. Anyway I was quite suprised to find out that most of them came from the top schools like Raffles, Victoria and Hwa Chong. Made me wonder how did I get in with my mediocre grades.
